About Psychology's sismple definition of ODD: ODD or oppositional defiant disorder is best described as an extreme version of a disrespectful teenager. More officially, the symptoms that must be present for longer than 6 months to get an actual ODD diagnosis are:








Performs deliberate actions to annoy others


Actively refuses to comply with majority's requests or consensus supported rules


Touchy or easily annoyed

Angry and resentful of others

Argues often

Has few or no friends or has lost friends

Is causing constant trouble at school

Blames others for his or her own mistakes

Seeks revenge


Generally, these patterns of behavior will lead to problems at school and other social venues.
